[...] HONEY JOYS RECIPE I don’t think that cornflakes are particularly amazing on their own or swimming in milk, so why the hell are they so unbelievably good in baked goods? Years ago, I worked in a bakery cafe in Seattle where one of our cookies turned everyone in the neighborhood into spiral-eyed zombies. The secret ingredient? Yep, cornflakes. We served lunch too, but that was of little consequence even around prime lunch time. People would stand in line at to order at the counter and keep their gaze focused solely on the rows of cookies as they slowly disappeared before their eyes, four at a time. People actually started showing up at 7am during the morning coffee rush to try to get a jump on the competition. I can mock them now, but the truth is that every employee at the cafe had stashed one or two away for themselves before the cookie wolves would descend. I’m looking forward to trying this recipe out! [...]

Can I just say, I have fallen head over heels for your website. I made 'the sicilian cake' once upon a rainy day for my Aunt and Uncle when they came over for coffee, and everyone went back for seconds :) We laughed and smiled and had to wipe melted chocolate off our noses (a sign of immense enjoyment). Today I'm having my friends over for a girly movie night and we're going to munch on these honey crackles. A friend of mine once said 'life is to be enjoyed and shared' and what better to share than honey crackles with people you enjoy being around?
Thanks again for the great recipes,
Em xx

I love them so so much! Everyone always laughs at the thought of them, but really, they have transcended childhood. Though, I still devour fairy floss and hard toffee given the chance!

I absolutely love these, I remember so many times taking them out of the oven and ten minutes later they'd be all gone.
